During this Latinx Heritage month, our team spent a Sunday evening in The Vale Garden Residence at the William Vale Hotel, as a part of a femme community event exploring the intersections of cannabis, consumption, the health of our bodies and the repair of our communities. As the legalization of cannabis carries social and economical transitions in New York state and beyond, Humble Bloom cultivates cannabis communities rooted in connection, care and balance.

I left Mas Xula with a deeper appreciation fo the cannabis industry and the women who are playing such an important role as advocates during this time. It was such a well executed event.

Mas Xulá

The expansive grown and sexy roundtable discussion was moderated by Xula’s co-founder Mennlay Golokeh Aggrey and touched on many topics on within the cannabis community with Canna IP Attorney Jessica Gonzalez, veteran sex worker & Black Feminist Pornographer Sinnamon Love, Activist and Cannabis Educator Sakie Fenderson, and health pracfticioner Trucia Cassagnol.

The Mexico city based herbal brand Xula, that we featured on our list of Latinx businesses to support is what drove us to attend this swanky intentional event. They made such a remarkable impression that we wanted to see their products in person and explore one of Brooklyn’s most chic penthouse suites. The night kicked off with Mexicana Karina Primelles who shared Xula’s vision, and was followed with a meditative moment from Strategist and Humble Bloom Founder Solonje Burnett on the outdoor deck. From legacy, legal, medical, and self-care we gained deep insights and actionable steps to support and show up for ourselves.

We can’t wait for the next one. See some of the amazing views below.
