HABICHUELAS CON DULCE 🥥

Habichuelas Con Dulce is our traditional Dominican Lent and Easter dish. Families typically make it during Holy Week to share with friends and family and to enjoy on Easter Sunday’s Best. According to DominicanCooking.com, one of the theories of the origins is that Habichuela con dulce is derived from a French dish that was brought over in the 19th century by colonists who had settled in what is now Haiti before moving to the Dominican Republic via Tía Clara’s hometown, Montecristi.
